Sharon graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in interior design. However, her true love is the exploration of color.  She spent over ten years in the study of watercolor, but she also excels in other mediums including pastels, acrylics, and multimedia techniques.

She has studied under several nationally recognized artists including Robert Burridge.
